Marie's CandiesSatisfy your sweet tooth in the quaint Logan County town of West Liberty - home of Marie’s Candies. In 1941, polio struck a young farmer. He was confined to a wheelchair, and to show gratitude for the help they received, he and his wife Marie gave gifts of homemade candies.  This loving gesture grew into a successful business that opened its doors to the public in 1956.  The candy and retail shop has grown over the years and now occupies the restored 1926 New York Central depot. The third generation is operating the family business that now offers over 80 varieties of chocolates, including assortments, and special corporate gift ideas.  The depot shop features Ohio State Buckeye items and other specialty gifts.  The Chocolate Fondue Kit is a favorite!  For more information, contact the Logan County Visitors Bureau 888-564-2626, www.logancountyohio.comwww.mariescandies.com
