Crabill's Hamburgers

Just a few cranks of the pedals off the Simon Kenton Trail bike path, and a few blocks west of downtown Urbana, is Crabill’s Hamburgers, at 727 Miami Street. Family-owned since 1927, this bite of Champaign County tradition earned a place in George Motz’s 2008 book "Hamburger America: A State-by-State Guide to 100 Great Burger Joints” and gained Roadfood.com’s “legendary – worth driving from anyplace” rating. The eight-stool diner (two more stools than the original location) serves up tiny, tasty hamburgers, or sliders, that draw hamburger aficionados from miles away and keep the locals coming back for more, generation after generation.
